About the artist

Hello, and welcome to my website.

I started drawing when I was in grade school and have developed my natural talent throughout the years through practice and research. I worked in the graphic design industry for sixteen years and felt my talent was more in fine art instead of structured and technical, however, I still use my graphic design skills whenever possible.

The portraits I do are done mainly from photographs; however, I like to use more than one photograph because it gives me a sense of the personality of who is in the portrait and I try to capture that personality in the painting or drawing. I also enjoy doing still life, animals and landscapes. I'm also learning that abstract art is a lot of fun, and it can also be worked into some of my other drawings and paintings as well. I work mainly in colored pencil, pen & ink and acrylics.
